    CO2 Emissions

Its Climate-Biodiversity Action Plan focuses on five areas: Measure, Decarbonize, Regenerate, Collaborate and Finance. The company measures emissions across Scopes 1, 2 and 3 and supports nature-based regeneration through Trees for Days, which plants one tree for every day a customer travels. The initiative aims to grow 12 million trees by 2030, while supporting local livelihoods and environmental resilience.

    Waste Management

Through its Plastics Partnership Project, the company works to reduce single-use plastics by promoting refillable bottles and collaborating with suppliers and accommodation partners. Its partnership with Travel Without Plastic also provides tools to reduce plastic waste and encourages travellers to avoid disposable plastics.

    Citizen Science Programs

Expedition experiences incorporate citizen-science projects and environmental education, helping travellers engage with conservation and biodiversity. In the Galápagos, certified National Park naturalist guides provide environmental interpretation, while visits to sites such as the Charles Darwin Research Station highlight local conservation efforts.

    Local First Initiative / Communities

Community benefit is placed at the center of a responsible-travel strategy through the G for Good approach and a long-term partnership with Planeterra, the non-profit organization founded by Bruce Poon Tip. Planeterra supports community-owned tourism enterprises through training, mentorship, grants, infrastructure support, and access to tourism markets, helping more tourism revenue remain within local communities. The partnership has also supported initiatives focused on Indigenous communities, women’s empowerment, cultural preservation, and local economic development.

Responsible travel practices additionally include collaboration with ChildSafe Movement on global child-welfare standards and guidelines concerning Indigenous peoples. An animal-welfare policy has also been developed with organizations including World Animal Protection, the Jane Goodall Institute, and the World Cetacean Alliance.
