CO₂ Emissions

The operation focuses on responsible practices and sustainable sourcing, while the vessel’s small-scale format and 30-guest capacity limit the scale of onboard operations.

Waste Management

All wastewater is purified onboard without the use of chemicals before clean water is returned to the environment. During Bali and Komodo itineraries, all onboard waste is collected, sorted and recycled through the Indonesian Waste Platform, with recyclable materials transported to Java for further processing. The partnership also includes beach clean-ups and waste-management education in East Indonesian island communities.

Citizen Science Programs

The vessel supports marine conservation research through the Indonesian Manta Project, including manta-ray identification and population research in Raja Ampat. The programme has identified almost 2,000 individual reef manta rays and 17 shark species, while also supporting the Manta Ray Ecology and Conservation Research Program and the Indonesian Emerging Conservationist Scholarship Program. Guests aboard Aqua Blu can learn about the research and contribute through fundraising initiatives.

Local First Initiative / Communities

Local communities are integrated into the itineraries through cultural performances, local guides, transportation providers and regional suppliers. Seafood is sourced through Bali Sustainable Seafoods, working with small-scale fishing cooperatives and supporting sustainable fishing practices and local livelihoods. The partnership also supports Fairtrade fishing communities in Toli Toli, Central Sulawesi, including education and economic empowerment initiatives

Situated on the upper levels (Decks 2, 3, and 4), Category II suites feature a plush King bed, a private en-suite bathroom, and 2 to 3 large windows providing abundant natural light and sweeping ocean views.

Located on Decks 1 and 2, Category III suites feature two twin-size beds, a private en-suite bathroom, and two classic maritime portholes.
