CO2 Emissions

Carbon footprint is measured and offset through verified UN carbon-credit projects. Each cruise offsets approximately 1.5 tonnes of CO₂ per guest, covering fuel, staff travel and onboard electricity use.

Waste Management

Waste and environmental practices are managed under Galápagos National Park requirements. Waste is separated and handled responsibly, while wastewater is treated onboard. Single-use plastics are eliminated, biodegradable cleaning products are used and water is produced through onboard desalination.

Citizen Science Programs

Naturalist-led interpretation and wildlife observation are central to every expedition. Official Galápagos Naturalist Guides also serve as National Park rangers, providing environmental education and conservation interpretation.

Local First Initiative / Communities

Family-owned Ecuadorian vessels, predominantly local crews and guides, and priority for Galápagos-based food and supply businesses keep tourism revenue within the local economy. Partnerships include the Galápagos Conservation Trust, Fundación Jonathan and local youth/community programs. Each vessel also participates in the Adopt a Galápagos Animal conservation initiative.
