Sofia was born and brought up in the beautiful and quiet town of San Martin de los Andes. She is the 6th generation of a proud linage of pioneers of Northern Patagonia, her forefathers arrived to the region in 1,888 more than 130 years ago.

From a very young age, her insatiable curiosity led her to seek knowledge from every corner and every person she met. When she was only 8 years old she realised learning a second language was the only way to get to understand the world and built bridges across cultures, to embrace differences and widen horizons. Passionate for learning, she got her degree in English Language in 2023.

After living in Buenos Aires for a couple of years with her life-partner Facundo, Milo was born and so they decided to return back to Patagonia where he could grow up amidst family and nature, fostering a deep connection with the environment. Sofia and Facundo started their family at a very young age, but of course this did not stop them form traveling. As a matter of fact, Sofia is strongly convinced that children are not a reason to stop exploring the world! In her words “they add their own magic to the adventure” hence she very quickly became Antarctica Travels’ advocate for Family Polar Adventures!
