Mayra was born in the wind swept Atlantic steeps but at a very young age her family moved to Patagonia. She grew up surrounded by nature, riding horses, camping by the lakes in summer and skiing in winter. Always seeking for the next adventure, during college breaks she would travel and work abroad either in USA or Europe. Once she finished her degree in English Language she decided to take travel to the next level and drove Central America in a camper van. She spent 18 months going from active volcanoes to unknown beaches and from green jungles to ragged mountains.

Mayra lived and worked in Montana where she managed a lodge, exceeding in hospitality and customer services. In 2020 she moved to Europe and after 2 months of van life along Spain, France, Germany and Belgium the pandemic happened, yet an unexpected adventure began with the wonderful news of the arrival of ‘the twins’ That’s when Mayra made the same decision her parents made 3 decades earlier, and settled down in Patagonia to give ‘the twins’ a life near nature in a background she loved so much.

Her adventure and extensive travel background, her rich hospitality experience and her exceeding attention to details are a great addition to the Antarctica Travels Sale Force. She is taking this challenge heads on, as she does with everything new and exciting in her life.

Mayra is an avid hockey player, an equestrian rider and horse lover as well as a devoted mother of her 4 year old boy twins, Felipe and Estanislao.
